Probably, your mind is full of  creative ideas in order to help to meet the 2030 Agenda. If so, it means you are ready to become a changemaker.

In pairs,  mention all the things you have in your house that your rarely use and probably they were a waste of money. If you had the chance to give them back, what will you get instead?

Needs or wants?

In teams, start a debate following the example below and complete the chart.

What does healthcare mean?  What happens when someone is sick?  Do people check their temperature and take medicines if they need them?  Do they go to the doctor to get some medicines or go to hospital if they are feeling bad enough?   Is healthcare something that is really important to stay alive?

 NEEDS AND WANTS Activity

Remember that a 'need' is something that you must have to live or survive, for example, energy. While, a 'want' is something we may like to have, but we can live without it, for example, a computer.

4th TASK: Digital poster

In this task, you are going to design a digital poster.

Creating Ceativity

Before creating your digital poster, read carefully the following steps.

In teams,  check out how you can help by just doing simple things. This checklist will make you think about the decisions you make at home or in the school.

Before starting,

  • Tick off the steps you’ve already taken. Please, do it again at the end of this year in order to see if you have improved.
  • It is essential to use your voice to empower your friends, parents and family. Show them the importance of the Sustainable Development  Goals.
  • Then, take turns to  spin the SGD wheel. In every goal, mention the action that comes to your mind  in order to contribute with the the 2030 AGENDA.
  • Finally, gather all your  ideas to  create a digital poster for your class with genially or  canva.

Here, you have some examples of some posters: example 1 and  example 2

Don't forget that the rubric to assess a digital poster  will help you know how to do a great job (download in editable odt format, download in pdf).

Learning diary

Now, write in your learning diary your reflections.

Here you have some questions to answer:

  • What did I learn?
  • What was new to me?
  • Was there something that changed my views and why?
  • What didn't I understand?  Why?
  • What was more difficult to me? Why?
  • What was easier to me? Why?
  • What do you think about learning English by using ICT?
