Grand Opera House

Arriving at the end of our journey!

Our journey to the city of Belfast finishes at The Grand Opera House. The Grand Opera House is a theatre in Belfast, which was designed by a very well-known architect of the end of the nineteenth century, Frank Matcham. It opened on December, 23rd, 1895. According to the Theatres Trust, the "magnificent auditorium is probably the best surviving example in the United Kingdom of the oriental style applied to theatre architecture".

At the end of the session, you will have:

  • visited the Grand Opera House in Belfast.
  • listened to and watched a video quiz about the city of Belfast.
  • reflected on all the different tasks you have worked on at the Learning Diary.

If you visit its official website, you will realize about the big amount of different shows that are scheduled in the Opera House. Which would you choose to view? You can also visit the Grand Opera House Youtube Channel if you wish to watch the different promos of the shows that are offered at the Opera House.

Remember that the Grand Opera House must be part of the route at your Google Sites map.
