Blackrock Castle Observatory

Let's explore the Universe!

We continue with our amazing trip to the magnificent town of Cork. Your next stop now is at Blackrock Castle Observatory where you will be able to discover how many fantastic things you can explore in a place like this.

This castle was restored in 1828 and it is owned by Cork County Council and it has got an impressive observatory and a visitor center. It is next to the shores of the River Lee. It is surrounded by very beautiful landscape. The observatory offers fun and educational things to do for children, families, school groups, and science fans.

Discovering Cork and County Cork is becoming a truly unforgettable experience!

At this step, you have to finish the Cork entry at the Google Site.

Each group ( 2 / 3 people) has to organize the information you have searched about Cork at your Google Site. Creativity in the distribution of the contents is very important. The requirements to finish the entry are:

  • some text about what to do in the city,
  • and two links to printable guides, leaflets, brochures.

If you and your group consider that you can add more details to these requirements, you can freely add them to your site.
