Grafton Street

Let's go shopping!

Dublin is a wonderful city. One of the busiest streets in Dublin is Grafton Street. It goes from St. Stephen's green to Trinity College Dublin.

At the end of the session, you will have:

  • used a thinking routine about Grafton Street.
  • revised and practised quantifiers in English.

To start with, let’s begin with a thinking routine, about Grafton Street. Look at the picture of Grafton Street included in this section.

After viewing this picture of Grafton Street, answer the questions below:

  • What can you see?
  • How do you imagine the shops?
  • How many people can be walking along the street?
  • How many shops can the street contain?

Take a look at a website about Grafton Street  and watch the promotional video.

Then, answer the following questions:

  • What do you think about working in this street?
  • Have you ever visited a shopping street?
  • What does it make you wonder?

Let's talk about quantity!

We use quantifiers when we want to give someone information about the number of something: How much..? or How many..?

At this step, you have to keep on organizing all the information you have gathered in order to complete the entry.

Each group ( 2 / 3 people) has to organize the information you have searched about Dublin at your Google Site. Creativity in the distibution of the contents is very important. 

At this step, you have to include at your Google Site the following information: 1 video about tourism in Dublin.

If you find more than one representative video, you can also include it in your Google Site.
