1^st mission: Braille message- everything is under control

The students will practice written meditation by writing a message to their parents in Braille to prevent or avoid worries.

The students will:

Recap information
Search for information on the Internet
Become familiar with Sign Language
Decode a Sign Language message
Perform a song in Sign Language
Practice oral mediation by calming down a scared classmate
Develop precious stone vocabulary with gamified activities
Work together to solve riddles and discover the stolen gems
Practice reading comprehension, critical thinking, and collaboration to restore balance to the world
Fill out their personal glossary with new vocabulary accompanied by their translation into Spanish, the student's mother tongue and the co-official language of the community (if applicable)

The students will:

Read and understand a short article (breaking news about a strange sickness)
Learn the ‘Wh-‘ questions and their use
Develop vocabulary related to body parts, illnesses, actions related to health and superpowers with gamified activities
Study imperatives for giving advice, "should/shouldn't" for recommendations, "feel + adjective” and understand health advice
Give advice and describe symptoms.
Read health tips
write simple health recommendations

2^nd mission: stopping a strange sickness using superpowers

The students will develop and apply critical thinking and collaborative skills by discussing and explaining a strange sickness and inventing creative solutions to the problem, after listening to the teacher's ideas.

The students will:

Read and understand a short article (breaking news about a terrible storm)
Develop vocabulary related to weather conditions and safety measures with gamified activities
Practice oral expression and collaboration by working in groups to choose an English speaking country
Describe weather conditions and discuss safety tips
Learn about different types of natural disasters and how to stay safe.
Use and apply specific grammar points such as the present continuous to describe ongoing events and modal verbs like "should" and imperatives to give advice and instructions
Learn how to read and create a weather report and interpret weather conditions worldwide
Gain an introduction to the job of a meteorologist and the skills required
Practice speaking and listening by presenting their own weather reports
Fill out their personal glossary with new vocabulary accompanied by their translation into Spanish, the student's mother tongue and the co-official language of the community (if applicable)

3rd mission: stopping a terrible storm with superpowers

Students will collaborate to discuss and explain a terrible storm. They will then enhance their listening skills by paying close attention to the teacher's examples. Inspired by these ideas, students will brainstorm and write down creative solutions using their superpowers to solve the problem.

The students will:

Read and understand a short article (breaking news about a meteor hitting the Earth)
Improve their pronunciation of any vocabulary word they need by using an online dictionary's audio feature.
Locate and use the pronunciation tool within an online dictionary
Actively listen to and repeat the correct sounds of a word
Practice and self-correct their pronunciation by comparing their attempt to the dictionary's audio
Develop vocabulary related to space and actions to protect it with gamified activities
Fill out their personal glossary with new vocabulary accompanied by their translation into Spanish, the student's mother tongue and the co-official language of the community (if applicable)

4^th Mission: stopping a meteor with superpowers

Students will collaborate in small groups to discuss and explain a fictional problem (a meteor threat) and brainstorm creative solutions using superpowers. They will practice listening comprehension by paying attention to the teacher's examples. This task will help them express their ideas clearly and work effectively as a team.

The students will:

Read and understand a short article (breaking news about a missing classmate)
develop vocabulary related to communication devices, such as a walkie-talkie and a smartphone with gamified activities
discuss and compare different communication devices
evaluate the pros and cons of each device and express their personal preferences using simple sentences
practice speaking, critical thinking, and making clear arguments to support their opinions
Learn the different forms of the simple past, including regular and irregular verbs
Understand and use the past simple of the verb "to be" (was/were)
Practice using the auxiliary verb "did" to form questions and negative sentences
Distinguish between the simple past and the past continuous tenses
Reinforce learning through practice questions to check comprehension and apply the rules

5^th Mission: finding a missing classmate with superpowers

Students will collaborate in small groups to discuss a fictional problem (a missing classmate) and brainstorm creative solutions using superpowers. They will practice listening comprehension by paying attention to the teacher's examples. This task will help them express their ideas clearly and work effectively as a team.

The students will

Analyse a mind map to understand and discuss the key details of their missions
Work in small groups to plan and create a comic strip, using teamwork to combine their ideas
Create a twelve-panel comic strip that visually and textually describes a complete story from beginning to end
Use the past simple tense to describe events in a narrative
Read and comprehend riddles to solve a puzzle.
Perform a sequence of actions based on the "spell" to complete the mission

Final Challenge: creating a TV news report.

They will

Use the 5 Ws (Who, What, When, Where, Why) to organize the key information of a story
Create a script for a TV news report, correctly using the simple past tense to describe past events
Practice public speaking skills by delivering a news report, focusing on clarity, pace, and expression
Combine written and visual elements by using their comic strips as visual aids during their report
Work in a group to coordinate their roles and actions to produce a complete report
Fill out their personal glossary with new vocabulary accompanied by their translation into Spanish, the student's mother tongue and the co-official language of the community (if applicable)
