Session 4

Shall we introduce ourselves? Should we do the project or not? If yes, should we share it with others?

SESSION 4

After learning about the topics of interest at each school—and agreeing on a common one, inclusion and diversity—students introduce themselves and then vote on whether to move ahead with the project.

ACTIVITY 1:First time meeting and getting to know each other via videoconference.

Students from Spain and France, along with the language assistants, introduce themselves via videoconference.

ACTIVITY 2: Democratic participation

A vote is taken to gauge student interest, and the votes are collected and counted. If at least 50% express interest, the project goes ahead. (In our case, since 100% voted in favour, we decided to continue with the project.)

Teachers then prepare an information and consent letter for students and their families/guardians, to keep them informed about the project their children are involved in and about their commitment from the beginning to the end of the school year.

The launch of the project will be shared on the school’s networks after the vote has been unanimously approved.
