Look at that tower over there!

We keep on visiting the wonderful city of London. Now that you have visited some landmarks of the city, we get to one of the icons of London: The Big Ben. At this stage, you have to continue with your first entry at the site of English-speaking cities.

At the end of the session, you will have:

read a menu of a restaurant and done different comprehension activities.
organized the research done on your Google Site project.
opened your Learning Diary and started writing your first post.

The Big Ben is the tower of the Houses of Parliament. If you click on the following link: Houses of Parliament. You will be able to discover a lot of details about this British institution, from the price of a ticket to visit it, to a 360 degrees virtual tour.

If you are interested in the British parliament, you can get a lot of information about this institution at its official website.

Remember that the Houses of Parliament and the Big Ben must be part of your Google map.

Your challenge: London at the Google Site

Challenge Step 3: Organizing the London entry at your Google Site

At this step, you have to start organizing all the information you have gathered in order to add an entry at the site that you had previously opened.

Each group ( 2 / 3 people) has to organize the information you have searched about London at your Google Site. Creativity in the distribution of the contents is very important.

You have to include at your Google Sites the following information: the map of the city from Google maps with the route of the ten steps we have in our tour of the city. You have extra information on how to do this route visiting the How to..? section at the didactic guidelines page.

Your teacher can help you organize the oral explanation to the rest of the groups when you have finished your research and your site. Creativity is going to be really important in developing the project. You can also record all the oral presentations and post them in your blog. WeVideo is a useful online tool for this purpose.
