No child left behid!
It is essential to promote solidarity among our students.
Nowadays, it is very common to have in class students from different nationalities and some of them have just arrived to our school and they do not know the vehicular language. Therefore, the rest of the students should help them to understand as much as they can. Therefore, indirectly, our students will be working the competence of mediation.
Moreover, it is very common to have different levels in class (multilevel class). So, when watching a video you can:
Use subtitles in the language you consider
Reduce speed
Play the video more time than usually
Give them more time to answer the activities of comprehension and allow them to answer in a simpler way.
Play the volume upper in case someone need it and allow him or her to sit down closer tho the speakers.
In this OER, you will realise that there are a huge variety and interdisciplinar tasks to work all the specific competences because not all the students are good in all of them. This helps to show them that they are outstanding to avoid possbile frustrations.
Have we done our homework?
We are always talking about meeting the 2030 Agenda.
However, have we done something in order to meet the SDG? In pairs, expose your opinion
What do you already know about the four sustainable development goals we are going to deal with in this project?
Imagine some classmates have just arrived to your high school and they never have heard about the 2030 Agenda. Help them to know them.
Do not forget to mention your mistakes in the past to contribute with the 2030 Agenda. Use 'used to' or "did not use to". You can reviewhere in order to do your task corrrectly.
Here you have some examples:
When I was a kid , I did not use to use a glass of water to wash my teeth.
When I washed my hands, I used to leave the tap opened for 30 minutes
When I was I 12 years old, I used to leave the water running while I was washing the dishes.
Since Christmas, I am paying less in my water bills / I have paid less in my water bills since Christmas.
