Read it in groups and answer the questions on it. Pay attention to the illustrations, writing, etc because you will have to do one in your FINAL CHALLENGE.

I don't want to live in a city with the worst water quality

There are a lot of places with bad water quality.  It is not only dangerous to drink it but also to have a shower. wash the dishes, etc.

In pairs, do a writing reasearch about a city with bad water quality. Do not forget to include in  your research the following information.

  1. Exact ubication of the place.
  2. Reasons for bad quality of the water.
  3. How do people live due to the bad quality of water?
  4. Does it affect to their health?
  5. According to you, write some  solutions to solve the problem.

Read again the article in SDG6: Clean water and sanitation , it is very useful for this task.

To do a great investigation,  read the document "Navigating, searching and filtering information on the internet"  where instructions to navigate, search and filter information on the Internet are given (download in editable odt format, download in pdf).

FINAL CHALLENGE: Comic of my Ideal City

Creating a comic is an excellent task for students  to practise their writing skills and to use their creativity

In groups,  create a comic of your ideal city or town. You need as minimum 10 vignettes

One of the best tools to creat it is CANVA.

Don't forget that the  'rubric to assess a comic' will help you know how to do a great job (download in editable odt format, download in pdf).

I dare you to form a team of eight classmates and to do missions in your free time in order to meet the 2030 Agenda. You will get a paspport and you will have to fill it up indicating your names.

Everytime you do a mission you have to present your teacher a Meeting the 2030 Agenda: Mission num: (download in odt editable file or pdf file) with the the following information:

  1. Name of your mission:
  2. Goal or goals met:
  3. If adults help you, indicate who:
  4. Description of your mission:
  5. Result:
  6. Impact:

The teacher will tick or stamp your passport everytime you carry a mission on. If you are able to meet all the Goals you will get a changemaker card.

Learning Diary

Now, write in your learning diary your reflections.

Here you have also some questions to answer:

  • What did I learn?
  • What was new to me?
  • Was there something that changed my views and why?
  • What did I not understand?  Why?
  • What was more difficult? Why?
  • What  have I learnt that can have some relevance for me? Can I identify it?
  • How am I going to apply this knowledge in my life?
  • Would I like to continue learning English by doing projects?
  • What TASKS did  I like more? which one was more difficult for me?
  • Do I think that I have improved my English? What skill have I developed more?
  • Am I going to change my habits in order to meet the goals of the Agenda  2030?
